Mount Everest issues

Currently, Mount Everest is facing numerous problems, including waste management. The pollution is caused by the waste left by summit expeditions. Garbage includes empty oxygen bottles, camping equipment, and organic waste.

  • Waste management: every year, more organic waste, more plastic garbage and more climbing equipment are dropped by mountaineers and summiteers.

  • Melting glaciers: remaining waste buried under the ice, pollutes rivers and lakes in the region.

  • Local wildlife: animal's life style is impacted, local fauna and flora are under critical situation in some parts.
